Little monsters will love BOTH of these Monster Cookies for sure. My taste testers were split right down the middle as to which one was preferred. They are both pretty tasty not going to lie so really you can’t go wrong!
Can you turn a halloween trail mix into a spooky treat that little monsters will love?
For years now I have been making this “Halloween Trail Mix” that includes peanuts, candy corn and m&ms. Equal parts of all three in my glass pumpkin jar. My kids and I have always loved it. If you take 1 candy corn, 2 peanuts and 3 m&ms and pop them into your mouth all at once I swear you will have just taken a bite of a Snickers Candy Bar.
My good friend Patty said to me one day, “you should turn that into a cookie” and I thought YES! Yes I should. I really tried this so many ways but it still didn’t really translate the way I was hoping. That being said I did wind up with two really good cookies using this combination of ingredients that my taste testers all really liked. I know your little monsters will love both of these monster mash cookies but they are just a little boring to look at. I know…I’ll add eyes and turn them in to monsters. It’s crazy how when you add eyes to these cookies how your eyes automatically fill in the rest of the face!
There are a lot of Monster Cookies recipes out there.
It’s funny, when I start working on a recipe that feels like an original idea, when I go to see if it’s already out there, it usually is. This one was no different. Yes they have. LOTS of people have, lol. I still ended up with two great cookie recipes both I think worth posting so here we go.
