Where did I get this recipe for Cranberry Orange Granola Bars?
This recipe is one of my mother’s. I don’t know where it came from but she started making it when I was planning my wedding. She fell in love with a dress that was just a little too small for her. She decided to buy it anyway and set out to lose five pounds. This was one of her go to healthy snacks. Here is the only problem with this granola bar recipe, you won’t be able to stay away from them. They are just so good. They have a chewy texture that is so addicting and satisfying.
My mom used to leave these in the pan and she would just cut a piece to throw in her lunch for work. I promise what will happen if you do that is every time you walk by that pan of oat cookie you are going to cut yourself a “bite”. That is how it just disappears! When I started making this recipe I decided it was wiser to actually cut it in to a granola bar size and store in an airtight container. It is the only way I have any restraint!
Did my mom lose those five pounds? She ended up losing SIXTY five pounds and had to have a tailor practically remake that dress! Every bride hopes to be the prettiest girl in the room on their wedding day but I don’t know, she looked pretty great❤️.
Thanks for the recipe Mom! Let’s make them…

Notes
You can use your imagination on flavor combinations. Try to stick to no more than three items. My suggestion would be to balance your flavors with a nut or seed, a dried fruit and a chocolate! I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
