A classic cookie press butter cookie. So easy, so good and festive!

- 2½ cups (375g) flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1¼ cups (140g) powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla bean paste or extract
- 1½ cups (168g) powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla bean paste or extract
preheat oven to 375°, line a cookie sheet with parchment paper
sift together flour and salt, set aside
cream together butter and powdered sugar
add egg and vanilla
add flour and salt until just combined
fill cookie press with dough and press cookies onto cookie sheet 1" apart
bake for 6-8 min, move to rack to cool completely
combine glaze ingredients (powdered sugar, milk and vanilla) and glaze cookies, top with sprinkles if desired
